The Evans Farm development, along with a piece of the Paykoff family’s property to our north, were approved for a zoning change from a Farm Residential District to a Planned Residential District and also Planned Commercial District. Evans Farm consists of 607 acres on the southern edge of Berlin Township and crosses over into Orange Township. Piatt Meadows will not directly abut the development, but it will be across Hollenback and next to Arrowhead Elementary school. The Paykoff property consists of approximately 314 acres. Our northern edge of the community does abut that property.
The zoning committee did put some stipulations on the approval and can be read in the meeting minutes. Evans Farm still has to come back with final development plans for a final approval before any building can begin, but the process is moving forward.
