AEP sent out information regarding their meter replacement program they are completing. This upgrade switches out the current meters with new smart meters. This will allow the utility to remotely read your meter and provide you access with usage data. The upgrade is no charge to homeowners. There are only charges if you wish to decline having the new smart meter. Please see their FAQ’s on the link below, and other information in the attached media that was distributed.
Note: AEP will reach out to each homeowner by mail and phone prior to installing the new meters. Expect this to take place in our neighborhood mid September.
